Messianic time is tricky I have been told in the past that Benjamin simply means non-secular time, but I don’t totally buy that. In my reading I see it more along the lines of the profane illumination points within the pile of detritus, or history, that the Angelus Novus is retreating from that one can look to for inspiration, that resonate.
