This essay/response by Grant Watson to Claire Bishop’s essay is required reading for week (2) two (Aug 17, 2008) of the “Nicolas Bourriaud: Critical Engagements Reading Group”. In this essay/response by Watson is most interesting in that he reckons (though mildly) with Bourriaud’s connection/s to the aesthetics (and politics)as theorized and articulated by French psychoanalysis and intellectual Felix Guattari. We will (briefly) reckon with Guattari’s work (specifically in his text _Chaosmosis_) to Baurriaud’s _Relational Aesthetics_ on week (2) two (Aug. 17, 2008).
